The foundations of our company were laid by Mehmet Altunkapak (1926-1994) in Isparta. Primarily engaged in the sale of sheet metal, flat bar, and square iron, Mehmet Altunkapak established a rolling mill in Isparta in 1962 for producing flat bar and square iron.
After 8 years of experience in industry, he sold the rolling mill and continued in trade. Mehmet Altunkapak worked with his son, Şenel Altunkapak, until 1974, at which point he handed over the responsibility to Şenel Altunkapak. Şenel Altunkapak expanded the business by adding rebar sales to the existing sales of profiles, pipes, and sheet metal. In 1988, Altunkapak Demir Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. was established, and in line with his vision, a branch was opened in Antalya where he relocated. In 1999, his son Mehmet Mete Altunkapak completed his studies abroad and began working at the Isparta branch. In 2002, the company’s headquarters was moved to Antalya.
In 2006, Şenel Altunkapak retired from active business life and handed over the chairmanship of the board to his son, Mehmet Mete Altunkapak. Altunkapak Demir Sanayi A.Ş. is a company that has been serving with quality, trust, and respect in the iron and steel industry for three generations since 1950.
